Dear Friends,
“Love knows not its depth until time of parting.”
-Gibran
Polestar Gardens Hawaii is now in escrow and set to ‘close’ at the end of July. At the point of departure after almost 16 years on the Big Island, we want to remember each of you who have been part of this magical journey. To all of you have lived here, visited, donated, participated, cared, watched, enjoyed, advised, led workshops, attended workshops, planted, harvested, sung, danced, played, meditated, laughed, cried, prayed and been such divine friends through such vivid depths of beauty, sorrow and Joy, we send you all our love, friendship, and endless gratitude. It is perhaps in the order of things that we allow ourselves just a few more moments of tears and remembrances of so much shared, so much lost and let go of, before we embrace all the ‘more and better’ opportunities and challenges before us. Hope you enjoy this brief recap of some of our precious moments and people here.
Mahalo Great Souls and hope to see you in Fort Collins!
Blessings,
Michael
Polestar Hawaii - Go With Love
The Last Hawaii Kirtan!
For those of you on the Big Island this week, the last kirtan will be this Wednesday starting at 5:30, (come early for meditation starting at 5) followed by potluck at about 6:45 – Hope you can join us! (Michael and Ann depart the island on Friday.)
A Time for New Beginnings…
As we temporarily scatter in different directions to spend time with family, pursue important projects, explore new intentional communities, serve and heal in new ways, we’re savoring these last moments together in Hawaii. It’s been a connecting, sacred time of learning and growing together in our little bubble. Lately we’ve been enjoying our final Hawaii-style homemade focaccia, group meditation, kirtan/healing bowl sessions, hikes in Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea summits & sunsets, a pilgrimage to Shipman Beach, an epic post kirtan potluck, mermaid swimming adventures, farmers’ markets aloha vibes, pizza party goodbyes, a Coconut Island picnic for Michael’s birthday and a father’s day lunch celebration. Wishing you all a wonderful summer, full of joy, adventure & infinite possibility!
In joy,
Vina
Fort Collins / Polestar Village Investor Update
For those of you who have expressed interest, the documentation for our ‘Lender / Investor Packet’ is taking longer than we hoped (lawyers are busy people!) but should be ready in 2-3 weeks! This is a great way to support Polestar, make a fair return on your loan, and be in a position to convert your loan into a lot or building product at the new Polestar Village. More information coming soon and feel free to be in touch with Michael at mg@polestargardens.org

Polestar Family Camp
Sept 17th to 19th
Join us this September for Polestar’s 35th(!) annual Family Camp, a weekend of relaxation and fun at the YMCA of the Rockies. We would love to see you all in Colorado! We only have 6 spots (rooms) left and they are requesting that we fill them by the end of July. So if you were thinking about it, now is the time to register!
Meet Fort Collins: Andrea Vanderbilt!
Andrea, an avid horticulturalist and nature enthusiast, has lived in Fort Collins for 10 years and helps folks learn to plan, cultivate and grow their own food-producing gardens through her business, Teach Me To Grow. She rents greenhouse space from our dear friends, Dennis & Bailey of Happy Heart Farm, to generate plant starts for the gardens she co-creates with clients, such as private residences, schools, and businesses. She brings radiant enthusiasm, helpfulness and joyful energy to all her projects and not only teaches the practical aspects of gardening, but also gently guides in deeper lessons of growth through the experience: awareness & connection to ourselves, each other and the planet. She is excited to participate in Polestar Village and support creative landscape design with food forests, plus eventual greenhouse planning and food production for the entire community. We are greatly inspired by her work and excited to collaborate on youth, volunteer and community programs, endeavors on the new land and much more!
Community Building 101
Over the past 4 months, we’ve held several engaging online gatherings, connecting on various topics related to Intentional Community. As the energy is moving from Hawaii to Colorado, we will take a brief break from these satsangs and start again once we’re settled. Thank you for joining and participating- it’s been really insightful and fun! The recordings are up on our website for you anytime!

“The Divine has loved me as mother, as father, and as friend, behind all friends. I searched for that one Friend behind all friends, that one lover whom I now see glimmering in all your faces. And that friend never fails me.”
