As most of you know, Thich Nhat Hanh, the venerated Buddhist teacher and Zen Master, passed away last week. This humble monk offered inspiration and solace to millions as he shared his timeless message of unity, love, peace and the sacredness of all life. We send our prayers and blessings to his many students across the globe and are so grateful to have witnessed a life so well lived. May his teachings live on and inspire generations to come.
“We need to re-establish true communication-true communion-with ourselves, with the Earth, and with one another.

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child—our own two eyes. All is a miracle.”
“I enjoy taking my time with each dish, being fully aware of the dish, the water, and each movement of my hands. I know that if I hurry in order to eat dessert sooner, the time of washing dishes will be unpleasant and not worth living. That would be a pity, for each minute, each second of life is a miracle.”
“It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community-a community practicing understanding and loving kindness, a community practicing mindful living. This may be the most important thing we can do for the survival of the earth.”
