Polestar Community is 100% off grid and is in the process of upgrading aging solar equipment. This is the first phase of a program to meet the community’s power requirements now and into the future.

The Workshop will cover all aspects of off grid power generation and supply including the history, current state and future of solar power. The workshop is not all discussion, however, and we will be mounting and wiring Polestar’s new panels while learning the technical details of DC power generation and storage.

No experience is necessary – just an interest to learn and work with others. In the process, you’ll also get to experience living in an intentional spiritual community.

About the Program Director:

Rich Mills
As the head of maintenance, Rich Mills has been working with and maintaining the solar power at Polestar for over 6 years, gaining knowledge of what it takes to meet the power demands of a growing community as well as real world, hands on experience. The ways we power our lives are changing, and he is passionate about solar power and sharing all he knows in order to encourage others to get involved in the energy revolution.
