Dear Friends,
Greetings and Aloha from the Big Island. The wild and wooly events of these past months are beginning to subside and we are gradually coming to grips with our post-Pele life here!

We are eager, as soon as there is road access, to begin the restoration process and we hope you will join us! Removing the debris, repairing the buildings, renewing the infrastructure, mowing, re-planting: those of you who have offered to pitch in during this process will definitely be hearing from us! It is hard to know for sure, but we have hope of road access in the next few months and will keep you all posted.
There are so many difficult and wonderful life lessons to be gleaned from all we have experienced this year, not the least of which is the magnified feeling of connection we have with so many of you who have shared this journey with us! We thank you again from our hearts for offering such kindness, friendship, and every kind of practical support we could have needed. Mahalo dear friends and may we one day return the favor!
Congratulations Ted & Kiya!
Life keeps moving forward and we were overwhelmingly delighted to celebrate Ted and Kiya’s wedding last Sunday, reconvening many former Polestar residents, family, and dear friends from far away for an incredibly inspired, healing, and Joyful time together.
Though we surely miss our beautiful land, temple, gardens and daily satsang, we are gradually finding new ways to serve. Our kirtans continue weekly at the Center for Spiritual Living, we hope to begin our Raja Yoga classes again soon, and are looking forward to a full holiday season.
In other Polestar news, the search for a new campus that will house our complete Vision of Life, has begun. Though we expect our existing campus, once restored, to continue to play a role in Polestar’s future, we have designs on an Ideal of community that is more expansive, inclusive, accessible, and integrated into our daily lives. As we are currently exploring properties both on the islands and beyond, we would be grateful for any help in this process.
